Application for NTUE Scholarship

All About Scholarships

There are 2 different ways to apply for the scholarship, one is NTUE scholarship, the other is Taiwan government scholarship

Scholarship for International Students of NTUE (for degree student only)

Who Can Apply International freshman students and current international students
Where to Apply
 

  • New Students: Online enrollment application system (https://enroll.ntue.edu.tw/foreign), please choose "yes" at the scholarship field. The result will inform you of the Letter of Admission.

        *The scholarship application opens only for the first admission application students.

  • Current Students: By the end of April each year, please submit the Scholarship Application Form, the Transcript of the Previous Semester, and a photocopy of your current Student ID to the Division of International Affairs to apply for the scholarship. (Office Location: Room A709, Administration Building)
Duration From September (the month your semester begins) to August of the following year.
Amount of Scholarship

  • Undergraduate: NTD$4,000 to 6,000 per month
  • Graduate: NTD$6,000 to 8,000 per month
Notes
 

1. The maximum duration for which a student may receive the scholarship is 4 academic years for undergraduate students, 2 academic years for master’s students, and 4 academic years for doctoral students.

2. Awarded students are required to complete at least 72 hours of voluntary service in university departments or administrative units. Students who fail to meet this requirement will be ineligible to apply for future scholarships.

Number of Recipients The number of recipients each year depends on the availability of scholarship funds.

Other Scholarship and Student Stipend in Taiwan

Scholarships for Degree MOFA Taiwan Scholarship

Application Period: February 1 to March 31 (subject to change)


Duration: Undergraduate program (maximum 4 years), Master’s program (maximum 2 years), Ph.D. program (maximum 4 years); Pre-degree Mandarin Language Program (maximum 1 year) also available


Monthly Stipend: NT$30,000


Additional Benefit: One round-trip economy-class ticket

MOE Taiwan Scholarship

  • Application Period: February 1 to March 31 (subject to change)

  • Duration: Undergraduate program (maximum 4 years), Master’s program (maximum 2 years), Ph.D. program (maximum 4 years)

  • Monthly Stipend: NT$15,000 for undergraduate students; NT$20,000 for Master’s or Ph.D. students

  • Benefits: Waiver of tuition and certain fees

  • Eligibility: Recipients can only study at universities participating in the Taiwan Scholarship Program Union

  • Target Recipients: Mainly applicants from countries designated as eligible by the MOE

  • Duration: Master’s program (maximum 2 years), Ph.D. program (maximum 3 years)

  • Monthly Stipend: NT$30,000

  • Eligibility: Only for applicants from countries designated as eligible by MOST (subject to change)

Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarships MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship

Application Period: February 1 to March 31 (subject to change)


Duration: Summer session (2 months), or 3-, 6-, 9-month, or 1-year programs


Monthly Stipend: NT$25,000


Eligibility: Only for applicants from countries designated as eligible by the Ministry of Education (MOE)
